“Each one is a small light…”

The flame’s building blocks are made out of the Hebrew letter “Yod,” which is the smallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet, and from it all other letters derive. In the flames there are verses from the Song of Songs.

The work is made in a way in which it is possible to duplicate the flames into a huge bursting flame (depending on the size and shape of the space). And yet it is possible to separate it into smaller units of flames that can be scattered all over the world, with the concept of “…all of us together are a great light” holding them together.
